Kevin Scott Martin, age 62 of Wells, Minnesota passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. A private family Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 3, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home with Pastor Meg Sander officiating. A public "come and go" visitation will be held from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM, funeral home staff will direct visitors from their cars with instructions. Face masks must be worn and social distancing rules will be observed. Please dress casual and wear bright colors, black is discouraged! The Funeral Service will be live streamed on Facebook Live, on Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home's page at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery in Wells, MN. If you would like to join the family at the cemetery, please meet them at the cemetery at 3:30.
Kevin Scott was born January 1, 1958, the first baby that year, in Wells, MN, the son of Gordon and Waneda (Fedder) Martin. Kevin graduated from Wells-Easton High School. He married Connie Dickhoff September 15, 1978 in Minnesota Lake, MN. Kevin was a gifted mechanic, working with the family business, Martin Well Drilling for many years. Kevin loved watching shows and slapstick comedy with his son Justin, Gunsmoke, Hogan's Heros, and The Three Stooges were favorites. Driving race car was a passion of Kevin's.
Kevin is survived by his wife of 41 years Connie Martin of Wells, MN; son, Justin Martin of Wells, MN; beloved dog Bear; mother Waneda Martin of Wells, MN; 3 brothers: Gordon Jr. (Julie) Martin of Wells, MN, Kermit (Linda) Martin of Salem, OR, David (Joyce) Martin of Easton, MN; 1 sister, Tammy (Dick) Whiteis of Mankato, MN; mother-in-law: Margaret Dickhoff of Wells, MN; brothers and sisters–in-law: William (Chris) Young of Tucson, AZ, Bonnie (Sheldon) Campbell of Mesquite, NV, Richard (Laura) Young of Frankston TX, and Lori (Jason) Dobbe of Farimont, MN; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Kevin is preceded in death by his Father, Gordon Martin Sr; niece Melissa Huper, father-in-law, Willard Dickhoff.
