Virginia Ann Drager Obituary

Virginia "Ginny" Drager, age 84, of Minnesota Lake, MN, peacefully died June 15, 2020 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately for her family at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Minnesota Lake on Monday, June 22, 2020 with Fr. Greg Havel and Deacon Gene Paul officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 21, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, face mask must be worn for admittance and in the church at all times. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Minnesota Lake.
Ginny was born October 8, 1935, in Minnesota Lake, MN, the daughter of Mathias and Magdalene (Sonnek) Volz. She attended and graduated from Minnesota Lake High School. She then went on to attend Mankato Commercial College. She and Orland were married on September 19, 1955. Ginny was a proud housewife and mother of seven children. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed playing bridge and being part of her card club. She enjoyed gardening and could make the best chocolate cake and buttermilk pancakes. She was a life-long member of STJB Catholic Church, active in CCW.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Volz; sister, Agnes Linder; her daughter, Laura Popp; and her granddaughter, Heidi Rensink.
Ginny will live on in the hearts of her husband, Orland of Minnesota Lake; her children: Clarann (Neil) Rensink of Delano, MN, Lynn (Gary) Kirckof of Roseville, MN, Robert (Rhonda) Drager of Minnesota Lake, MN, Bruce (Jodie) Drager of Mankato, MN, William (Colette) Drager of Mapleton, MN, and Joan (Scott) Korfhage of Prescott, WI; 19 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Marc (Sherry) Volz of Salida, CO, and John(Chris) Volz of Minnesota Lake, MN.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Minnesota Lake Ambulance, Maple River AAA Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
